Cameron, NC Dentist Laurence R. Mester, Jr. DDS
Laurence R. Mester Jr. DDS
General Dentist

Dr. Mester was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree from St. John's University in Jamaica, New York, graduating Summa Cum Laude. He was awarded a Health Professions Scholarship by the United State Army to attend dental school and he graduated with a DDS degree from Columbia University School of Dental and Oral Surgery in 2004. He received several awards upon graduation including the Outstanding General Practicioner Award, and Divisional excellence in Oral Radiology Awards.

In June of 2004, Dr. Mester went on Active Duty in the Army. As the Chief of Operations for the 257th Medical Company (Dental Services), Captain Mester has deployed in support of the Hurricane Katrina relief effort and in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. His ribbons include the Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Iraqi Campaign Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, and Humantitarian Service Medal.

As a General Dentist, Dr. Mester has practiced dentistry Fayetteville and Spring Lake since 2005.  From various crowns, bridges, molar root canals as well as implants and wisdom teeth extractions, Dr. Mester enjoys improving and maintaining every patient’s total oral health.  He is dedicated in continuously practicing and improving his knowledge and mastery of the latest dental technologies, and providing a wide range of dentistry services to our community. 


 

Lauren Chiang, DDS
General Dentist

Dr. Chiang was born in New Jersey and moved to Massachusetts when she was 7. She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Toronto, and her DDS from Columbia University College of Dental Medicine. After graduating, Dr. Chiang did a general practice residency at Jacobi Medical Center in the Bronx where she gained experience in providing dental treatment to medically complex patients in a hospital setting. Dr. Chiang is dedicated to providing high quality dental care to all her patients. In her free time, Dr. Chiang enjoys cooking, playing squash, skiing, hiking, and spending time with her family and friends. 


 


Seulah Kim, DMD
General Dentist

Dr. Kim was born in South Korea and moved to NC when she was 11. She attended UNC-CH as an undergraduate and earned her BS in Biology and Dental hygiene. She worked as a Registered Hygienist in Durham, NC. Dr. Kim received her Doctor of Dental medicine at East Carolina University. She is dedicated to providing patient-based comprehensive treatment with great attention to detail. She is a member of American Dental association and North Carolina Dental society. Dr. Kim loves spending time with her family and friends, cooking, and painting. 


 

Ahmed U. Metwally, DMD
General Dentist 

Dr. Metwally was born in Egypt and moved to the US when he was 7. Growing up, his family moved around from South Carolina, to Georigia, and finally settling down in Albemarle, NC. He attended undergraduate school in UNC-Wilmington where he graduated with a BS in Biology and attended the University of Pittsburgh for dental school. He volunteered in Missions of Mercy and at various underserved clinics during dental school. He enjoys dentistry and has wanted to become a dentist since high school. Dr. Metwally is committed to furthering his education in dentistry to stay up to date with the latest clinical advancements. He enjoys spending time with his family and friends, sports, and fishing.

Dental Hygienist

April Wagner was born in Holyoke, Massachusetts. She was raised in NY, Massachusetts, Washington State and Ohio. After high school, she joined the U.S. Army to be an airborne Russian voice interceptor. She served 4 ½ years in the Army beginning in 1987. She attended schools through the Army in S.C, Georgia, California, Texas and Massachusetts and was finally stationed in Garlstedt, Germany during Desert Storm. After she was honorably discharged, she attended Armstrong Atlantic University in Savannah, Georgia and received her dental hygiene degree in 1999. She practiced 8 years in a periodontal practice in Savannah. She has lived in NC since 2007. She loves being a dental hygienist and singing in the choir at church.

Natasha (Tasha)
Dental Hygienist

Natasha Drews (Tasha) was born and raised in Fayetteville, NC and she has made Cameron her home for the last 17 years. She went to FTCC to become a dental hygienist and graduated with honors in the spring of 2008. After passing her state board for licensure with a perfect score, Tasha gained experience as a dental hygienist by working at multiple offices around the triangle area. Tasha is very excited to be a member of the Carolina Lakes Family Dental family. She is dedicated to providing best dental care to her patients and is very compassionate about her job. She loves to spend time with her family and reading and is the proud mom of two children.


 

Joshua
Dental Hygienist

Joshua was born in Fort Leonardwood Missouri, but has moved around with his military family just about everywhere: South Korea, Georgia, California, Germany, South Carolina, and North Carolina. Josh has called Harnett county home since 2010. He began his dental career with Carolina Lakes Family dentistry in 2013 as an assistant. After leaving the office to continue his education at FTCC, Josh is back as a dental hygienist. At FTCC, Joshua was class president, graduated with honors, and is currently a member of the ADHA. He is currently completing his bachelor's degree in dental hygiene and hopes to continue eventually to dental school.


 

Whitney
Dental Hygienist

Whitney was born, raised, and still resides in Sanford NC with her husband Michael, and her stepson.  She attended Central Carolina Community College, and graduated in 2009 with an Associates in Applied Science in Dental Hygiene.  Whitney's desire to advance her knowledge in patient care led her to work in the specialty of periodontics for 3 years before returning to general dentistry.  She loves spending time with her family, enjoys spending the summer at the beach, and is an avid UNC fan.

Whitney is excited to be a member of Carolina Lakes Family Dental, and can't wait to meet you and help keep your smile beautiful!


 

Kelly
Dental Hygienist

Kelly is originally from Maryland, but has called North Carolina her home since being stationed at Fort Bragg in 2003. She served in the U.S. Army for 4 years and spent another 7 years working as a Government Contractor/Civilian.  Kelly always knew she wanted to be a Dental Hygienist and decided to go back to school to pursue her dream. She attended Fayetteville Technical Community College and graduated with Honors in 2017 with an Associates in Applied Science in Dental Hygiene. She is a current member of the ADHA. 

Kelly is very excited to be a part of the team at Carolina Lakes Family Dental. She enjoys her career very much and takes pleasure in getting to know all of her patients and providing them with the highest quality of dental hygiene care. Kelly is also a busy wife and mom. She loves spending time with her husband, her two daughters and her fur children.
